The Center for Biblical Christianity in Africa (CBCAfrica) is a welcome and much needed initiative in Africa. ““Everything rises and falls on leadership” said Dr. John C. Maxwell. Biblical based leadership is one of the greatest need of the Church in Africa and indeed the worldwide church today. A leadership that leads Christians towards Christ […]

Biblical based leadership is one of the greatest need of the Church in Africa and indeed the worldwide church today. A leadership that leads Christians towards Christ – knowing Him, obeying Him and becoming like Him. Yet it is this very need that is the least addressed as is in the African church today. That is why I am excited to see what my dear brother and friend Rev. Dr. B. Moses Owojaiye is stewarding through CBCAfrica.

Professor Mark R. Shaw

Director of the Centre for World Christianity, Africa International University, Nairobi, Kenya.

The explosion of Christianity in Africa in general and Nigeria in particular is no longer a new story. But explosions are doubled edged things. They produce real change but they also leave many structures of life in need of repair. Dr Moses Owojaiye and the work of CBCAfrica are to be commended for taking up the critical task of such a creative and biblical reconstruction of church, society and nation, just as the smoke is beginning to clear.

“The Centre for Biblical Christianity in Africa addresses one of the most crucial items that could be placed on any agenda for global Christianity in the twenty-first century: the discipleship of African believers and the creation of access to theological education for African pastors. I am pleased to see Rev. Dr. B. Moses Owojaiye, a trusted ministry partner and visionary leader, step forward to direct this promising initiative. Moses has redirected the trajectory of my own life by showcasing to me the work of God in Africa; may he continue to unify the church in Africa and beyond through the work of the CBCAfrica!”

African leadership is strategically desired for the Great Commission simply because African presence already influences all parts of the globe with a vibrant Faith. Biblical Christianity is needed in the great continent because of an amazing church growth rate which dwarfs and compensates for the challenges of traditional Christian regions. And a Centre for training pastoral leaders is critical so that church health will accompany church growth. I commend the efforts toward CBC Africa since pastoral health affects church health, and church health affect societal health.
